On Wednesday, June 26th, Schweitzer Fellows for Life hosted a nation-wide webinar entitled “To Combat Loneliness, Promote Social Health”. This is the second in a series of webinars featuring FFLs around the country, connecting their expertise and pushing our learning further.

Fellows for Life is a network of alumni of the Schweitzer Fellowship that stretched all over the country. With more than 4,000 alumni. Chicago Fellows for Life are leaders in service and participate in programming through our Schweitzer office, ranging from Seed Grant projects, to networking events and service days.

The webinar featured Dr. Sachin Jain (FFL Boston ’03-04), CEO of CareMore Health System, Forbes contributor, and Stanford faculty. Prior to joining CareMore, Dr. Jain was Chief Medical Information & Innovation Officer at Merck & Co. He also served as an attending physician at the Boston VA-Boston Medical Center and a member of faculties at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Business School. From 2009-2011, Dr. Jain worked in the Obama Administration, where he was senior advisor to Donald Berwick when he led the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). He has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and in journals such as the New England Journal, JAMA, Health Affairs, and was an editor of the book, The Soul of a Doctor (Algonquin Press).
