Please join us on this special evening. Girls from Chicago ’s Girl Talk program discuss their efforts crafting a Bill of Health Rights for Incarcerated Girls in Illinois . View the film, Girl Trouble, and hear from our special guests. Network with young women and professionals and work together to address the important and unique health issues girls’ face in the correctional system.

Marlene Sanchez - Executive Director, Center for Young Women’s Development, and

Stephanie Sabini - Co-star, Girl Trouble

 

About Girl Trouble… winner of the Golden Gate Award at the 2004 San Francisco International Film Festival, this documentary follows over a period of four years, the lives of three girls entangled in San Francisco ’s juvenile justice system. It highlights the struggles girls face when their lives are compounded by issues of poverty, violence, parenthood, and the need for health care.
