Community Health & Medical Assistance

Community health workers (CHWs) play a vital role in health care by facilitating access to health and social services in the communities they serve. Using their connection to the community, CHWs improve the quality and cultural competence of service delivery which leads to better patient outcomes.

Medical assistants (MAs) prepare patients and assist physicians during examinations. MAs are cross trained to perform administrative and clinical duties which can include updating and filling medical histories/records, conducting basic laboratory tests, scheduling appointments, and coding insurance forms. Medical assistants are instrumental in helping patients feel at ease in the physician’s office and often explain the physician’s instructions.

Explore our training programs below and gain the skills and knowledge you need to make a real difference in patients’ lives from day one.
