The 2024–25 Chicago Area Schweitzer Fellowship Impact Report highlights how this year’s Fellows are advancing health equity and building lasting change across communities in our region.

Through powerful stories, data, and reflections, the report showcases the critical service learning projects Fellows led in partnership with community organizations—from expanding access to chronic disease education and trauma-informed care, to supporting people experiencing homelessness, incarcerated women, and families navigating complex health systems.

University partners, funders, and community collaborators all play a critical role in making this work possible. Together, they help create opportunities for emerging health professionals to learn, serve, and lead with a deep commitment to justice and equity.
